Wipe clean Immediately.

Clean on the spot  with cloth or wet sponge . 

Do not let spills linger because eventually they will seep through - It is cotton based after all.

For light colours, on prolonged use , keep a watch out of dirt accumulating in the edges where the fabric folds . Keep wiping the edges regularly as well. 

The table cloth can be dry ironed on cotton setting 

Air out the table cloth occasionally ( once a week or fortnight) - to let the table breathe. It's really tempting to let it stay on for longer!!

If you see white spots or a texture on the wood surface, its because of trapped moisture . ( it happens with some types of wood & the type of finish) In that case, just place a cloth over that spot on the table, apply heat with an ironing machine for about 20-30 seconds & wipe off. Try this a few times. You should be able to clean it completely

The table cloth can be machine washed warm.  But try not to wash it too often to maintain the performance of the product.

If using daily and the usage is considerable , it's a good practice to keep washing once every 3 weeks. 

In general, it's a good practice to avoid placing hot vessels directly on the surface. The table cloth itself can withstand the heat, but will not insulate  the table itself. While it may be alright to use place warm plates without a placemat, avoid placing hot vessels without an insulating coaster pad.
